Air Blaq

Air Blaq

Air Blaq began writing poetry at the age of nine as a form of self-expression. He believes that everyone has been predestined to a specific job or purpose in life. Young, Old… Black, White… It doesn't matter. He uses his gifts to remind people that they have a purpose worth fulfilling.

Drummers Jason Cave and Gerima Harvey Fletcher

Drummers

Jason Cave brings over 19 years of drumming experience. He played with Toronto’s Roots Drummers for two years and has been a lead drummer with Ijo Vudu African Dance Co. for the past year and a half. He has also performed at Afrofest, Muthadi Drum Festival, Caribana, and Festival Banay'afrique

Gerima Harvey-Fletcher brings over 25 years of musical genius to everywhere that needs his drumming magic. He’s a dynamic soloist, a member of three bands and many musical relationships.

J

J

J brings us a blend of folk, acoustic soul and reggae. Mellow vibrations to bouncy groovy-ness, infused with conscious and uplifting lyrics. A message of our unity and love is present as J is dedicated to being a part of positive change. J arranged, produced and recorded his first self-titled album in late 2007. The Album was well received in the roots community and beyond.

Errol Blackwood -Reggae

Errol Blackwood

Errol Blackwood has a voice full of richness and is a masterful bass player. Errol sings of struggle, love and life, all with the same positive feeling. Not only does he write excellent songs, but he has also masterminded video renditions of his material. A performance by Errol and his band Injah transcends mere playing, taking you on an appealing versatile and spiritual trip through the heartbeat of reggae.
